Cute Card Thursday - Family Affair

At Cute Card Thursday, they want us to make a card for a member of our family.

I've made a card for my sister using the
Whimsy Love You Mice from Whimsy Stamps.

The papers are from Making memories and BasicGrey and the flower is from Prima. I've embossed the edges of the card with some white embossing-powder I got from my dear aunt, thanks a lot!!(hope you read this:))

I've also embossed the image with clear embossing-powder to get an "old look".

"For this weeks challenge we would like to see some texture on your creations, texture can be achieved is so many ways, but to name a few to give you some ideas, how about heat embossing, dry embossing, flock, felt, glitter, glossy accents..."

I've made some texture using several flowers and a wooden button with a pearl on on top of it.
I've used the Whimsy Owl from Whimsy Stamps, the flowers are from Prima and papirloftet.no, the papers are from Making Memories - Hillary Stamp Shape, October Afternoon - Sweather Weathter and BasicGrey - Perhaps.

Sukkersøtt - Utfordring #33 - Clean and simple

It's Friday again and time for a new challenge at Sukkersøtt.

This week we are challenging you to create a card, keeping it clean and simple.

This style is based on a simple layout, with clean lines and few embellishments.

As I'm very fond of embellishments, this challenge required some thinking.

I have chosen to keep the card in 3 colors (which for me is minimalism itself), and as a final touch I felt "forced" to add a flower:)

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Little Gem

This week at A Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is to use gems on our cards.

I've used some fabric brads from K&C with gems on, it doesn't show that well on the mainpicture, so I made a close-up photo.

For the image I've used one of my Whimsy Stamps - Duck, the sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps, and the circular stamp I've used in the edges is from Aud Design.

Cute Card Thursday - Celebration

This week CCT is celebrating their birthday, as they are 1 year old this week!

Katharina has made a lovely sketch for this week's challenge, and they have lots of fabulous prizes, so drop by and celebrate with them!

I couldn't resist making a card as I got my very first DT-package from
Whimsy Stamps this morning.
I've used
the Skunk from Whimsy Animals Collection and the sentiment is from Whimsy Sentiments Collection - Animal love.
I know it's a skunk, but he somehow reminds me of my dog:)

"If you're feeling blue try painting yourself a different colour".

It's Friday again and time for a new Sukkersøtt-challenge.
This week we have a new twist regarding the challenge, a colour challenge!

And what a challenge! I spent quite some time thinking how I could use these colours on a single card, without making a mess out of it.
One can definitely say that the card is colourful:)

The text stamp is from Inkadinkado. Isn't it cute? "If you're feeling blue try painting yourself a different color."
Imagine how it would be, having these simple solutions that children often have!

This week Anita has created a beautiful sketch for us, and it was a delight to work with!

I used the opportunity to try out one of my new Gojuss Girls, isn't she the cutest!

I actually bought the text stamp intended for this image, and I think it fits pretty well.

It almost looks like the bird wants to tell her something:)

The text stamp is from Impression Obsession - A little birdie, the papers I've used are from My Minds Eye and Sassafras Lass. The flower is from Prima, the blue ribbon with dots from Panduro and the orange from a local hobby store.

The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 5 - Christmas

It's time for the fifth challenge at the Sugar Bowl and this time they want us to make no less than a Christmas card!!
"Create a card (or other craft project) for Christmas, using a Sugar Nellie stamp."
I guess you can never start too early.
I've used some papers from Prima, Basic Grey, Making Memories and K&C.
I got my Gorjuss Girls yesterday, and I couldn't resist inking them up:)
Inspired by
Rach's wonderful Christmas card, I thoght it was a great idea making the fox into an arctic fox.
The brad in the middle of the sentiment is from Dovecraft and the flower is from Petaloo. The sentiment on the left side is from House Mouse and I got the snowcrystals from my sister:)

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments!!! It means so much to me!

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Lace and Pearls

This week at Magnolia Vs Stampavie we are challenged to use some lace and pearls on our work.

"This is the chance to let rip with all the girlie stuff and use up some lace and pearls on your creations."

I made a card with one of my favourite Tildas.
The papers are all from Panduro's Tilda-collection, I also covered one of the chipboard hearts I got from my sister with some paper from Panduro.
The lace I used ,was supposed to be on a dress of mine once, but it wasn't to be:)

I find the text so cute, I got this stamp all the way from Malaysia:)
